About 2 weeks ago I went to the Bata Shoe Museum (BSM) in Toronto, and unfortunately, my experience was far from enjoyable. I disliked just about everything within the museum. There was nothing there that managed to catch my attention nor my eyes, and I have absolutely no plans to return. But in this blog, I’ll tell you the things that I found most particularly disappointing and try to give a good reason as to why.

First off, it was boring. There was essentially just a bunch of shoes to look at 😑…you couldn’t interact with anything and I know not all museums are going to have interactive stuff to touch or play with but they could’ve at least had something to do besides walking!
Second, there were a small amount of male shoes, most of the shoes were women’s shoes…that might be interesting for a WOMAN, but I’m not a woman and even if I was a woman, there were just so many mediocre and overall plain bad-looking shoes that I probably wouldn’t wear or take any interest in any of the shoes there even if I WAS a woman. Sami liked most of them and found a lot of the descriptions and information about the shoes to be interesting….but she doesn’t know quality 🙄😂

I also really disliked most of the selection of men’s shoes as well, the ones from the 80’s were pretty cool but every other set of men’s shoes were just ehhhhhh. But I guess I’m still a little appreciative that they did include some men’s shoes… even if they only amounted to a tiny fraction of the amount of women’s shoes this place had on display. I don’t think neither me nor Sami even remembered to take a picture of any men’s shoes because they were just that unimpressive.

And there you have it, my 300-word blog on the Bata Shoe Museum that I was required to write for school 😑😤… I could’ve written more details about this museum into my blog post but I really want to get this thing over with since this museum holds absolutely no value in my heart and I’m probably never going to think about this place ever again in my life, peace ✌🏼
