Hey folks, last Sunday, while visiting Philadelphia, I went to the Philadelphia Zoo. Allow me to walk you through my experience, beginning with the highlights and concluding on a low note with the aspects I enjoyed the least.
Firstly, the thing I liked most was the birds: the flamingos, the ducks, and the penguins, they were all so funny in their habitats with the ducks quacking, the penguins swimming, and the flamingos playing in their dirty chocolate-looking water.
My second favorite aspect of the zoo were the statues of the many different animals, including gorillas, giraffes, and deer. They all looked pretty interesting and I’m sure they took a lot of skill and time time to construct. I appreciate both the cool look of many of them, one in particular having been created using recycled metals, but I also respect the amount of time I imagine it must’ve taken to create them.

I was particularly captivated by the many different variety of animals that were present, from rhinos, giraffe, and American buffalo. It was just so cool how many different animals there were and I really liked how every one of their habitats were vastly different from one another.
Time for the part I thought was only okay, the cardboard cutouts or stuff that were meant for pictures were really cool! but they really didn’t drag me in aside from the one featuring large wings that I’ve inserted a picture of, I still think it was pretty cool and overall pretty neat.

Another “alright” thing were the numbers in which the animals were in, some had just 2 of the animal, some had 3, and If I remember correctly I think there was only one chicken in a lonely, sad chicken coop. I would put it above cardboard cutouts but I need to bring justice to the chicken 🍗😂
Time for the things that didn’t really catch my interest as well as many of the other things. First, the price…. 30 bucks for a single person?! and $60 dollars for a membership for a single person? We fortunately had a Family Membership we purchased during our visit last year but for people who don’t have that, I FEEL BAD FOR YOU 😤
There was also a statue of a cow, I know its not really that big of a thing but I was disappointed that it wasn’t a real cow.
And that is my rating of the highlights of the best and the worst of this zoo, and I would definitely not go again in the future, that price is not justified and our Membership ends in July. Aside from that however, it was still a pretty cool zoo and I enjoyed a lot of it. I don’t regret my 2nd visit.
